3rd Australian Light Horse Regiment

Sunday 29 July 1917 – various enclosures

Have just been screwing [looking at] the old O’Harbour photo & comparing the people with your guesses which up till now I have kept – but fineesh after this. Too muchee paper. I haven’t identified any fresh faces yet but it’s a very decent picture & recalls a bonzar day & kick off & a bit of excitement re trams & motors & late coming sisters which was fun as it happened.

Conclusion

I’m due to go to the canteen directly so think I’ll cut this out. A few much travelled bits of paper for Lic’s Museum. The Trench Comfort notices were pasted on tins of fruit & other articles.
Hope Uncle Bert is better by this. Fancy Father meeting Muriel Bundey there.

Swallow & Ariell Ltd Plum Pudding label – Ye Olde Englishe Plum Pudding 1lb 3 ozs
The Champion Dairy Co, Bombay; Best Selected Butter. Written on back of label: How is this for India? Looks a pretty label but the butter itself is a bit pale – not bad though. Bonzar cow isn’t it?
